My take on triple stamping…..

Anywhere you look in the paper crafting universe right now you can find cards with a  stamped background on triple layers, dubbed “triple time stamping” (not to be confused with double stamping 😉 ).   I’ve seen so many versions that I have no idea who to credit for the idea!   This is my version.  I used the 2012-14 in-colors and the raining flowers stamp set.

One thing I learned early on in my paper crafting journey is that once you come up with your design it doesn’t take much longer to make multiples than to make one.   To save time and be sure I have a back stock of great cards for any occasion I always make at least 2 cards, I mark one as a sample and give the others.  This time I cut enough for 10 and went ahead and stamped 2.  Now I can easily grab the layers and use any stamp set or embellishments I want to  make a great card in a hurry.

Here are the dimensions so that you can create your own triple stamped creation:

Colored card stock for borders  and base

8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ to fold for card base,  4 1/2″ x 3 1/4″, 3 1/2″ x 2 1/4″

Card stock for stamping

5 1/4″ x 4″, 4 1/4″ x 3″, 3 1/4″ x 2″

Getting my mojo on…..

I find that the design process in any crafting project can be the most time consuming part and as busy as my life can get, time is a precious commodity.  Sometimes its easy to lose your stamping mojo and get creative block.  That is why I am loving card challenges!  They can give your project a little jump start and save you tons of time.  Even if you don’t want to enter the current challenge, the archives on challenge blogs are a great place to find inspiration and get you going if you are stumped.  This is my creation based on this weeks  Mojo Monday Sketch.

I used a little creative freedom interpreting the sketch by swapping out the circles for die cuts using my Apothecary Accents Framelits and using one of my favorites, Linen Thread, instead of ribbon.  Hope you like!
