Door Prize!

Last time I mentioned my Busy Stamper Open House.  It was a blast by the way! If you didn’t make it, you should check out my events page and see my upcoming classes and workshops so you can get in on the fun!  Anyway, these were the door prizes at the open house.  Congrats to Michele,  Melinda, and Bernice who each won one of these packs of stamping goodies.  Come to one of my events and you could win too!  I included a sampling of dry embossed and plain card stock, ribbon and a “handmade by” stamp wrapped in a cute paper bow.  Stampin’ Up! has so many cute gift wrapping ideas right now.  Stay tuned for my video tutorials that are on their way to see how to make your own bows.

CASEed Pinwheel Treat Bag

Recently my Mom was here visiting from the D.C. area.  We had a great visit and she was even able to attend my Busy Stamper Open House.  She caught a bit of the paper crafting bug  (it is very contagious you know) and wanted to make something to give the gal who subbed for her Sunday School class.  I decided to CASE an adorable treat bag that we made in Janice Urke’s Thursday night stamp club.  Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think the design originally came from the amazing Becky Roberts.  The bag is sooo easy to make and can be changed up to fit any occasion.  This is my fall inspired version.

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #53

Well, I’ve decided to throw my hat into the ring in some popular card challenges.  I’ve enjoyed following Freshly Made Sketches for a while, now and decided to join in there first.  I love their appreciation for clean design.  Here is this weeks sketch:

I decided to try something new with my paper daisies for this one.  I used my brayer to ink summer starfruit onto them and then primrose petals to stamp the background.  I love that I can customize the daisies to fit my project.  So here is what I came up with:

Go check out Freshly Made Sketches, wish me luck, and……

Paper Pleats!

I am having a ton of fun with paper pleats.   I thought a mailbox would make the perfect card box so I picked up this paper mache one at my local craft store and embellished it  with my favorite Designer Series Paper, Comfort Cafe, and some simple pleats.  It took less than an hour and now I can house my cards in style!  Stay tuned for my perfect pleat tutorial video and some paper ruffles that will be coming soon!
